Idaho Bunkers was built on a simple observation: the underground shelter market is full of internet salesmen — and almost entirely lacking in capable local builders who can actually put one in the ground correctly.

A Background in Premium Building

Our background is high-end residential construction — custom homes on raw mountain acreage, complex multi-trade schedules, and a reputation for delivering exactly what was promised. That discipline is what underground work actually demands.

Selling a shelter unit is simple. Placing one fourteen feet down in rocky Idaho ground — managing hydrostatic pressure, pouring structural concrete in a hole, coordinating cranes and engineered backfill, building an envelope that will hold pressure, and finishing the interior to residential standards — is a different discipline entirely. It requires a general contractor who understands dirt, water and structural load, working alongside engineers who understand threat. That is how we are set up.

Honesty Over Hype

We do not manufacture military credentials or traffic in fear. We are builders. Our expertise is concrete, steel, excavation, envelope and project management. The engineering and threat analysis come from Hardened Structures, whose architects and engineers have done this work for decades. We tell you which part is ours and which part is theirs, and we put both in writing.

Discretion as a Standard

In this line of work, operational security is as important as structural integrity. Your property does not appear in our marketing — no photographs, no video, no portfolio content, no social media. Every subcontractor operates under an enforceable NDA and is given only the information needed to do their portion of the work. Where required, communication can be routed through counsel, a family office or another designated representative. Privacy is not a premium add-on — it is how every project runs.
